Comments: He had me from the first therapeutic touch! Ivan is certainly the most gifted massage therapist I've ever had work on me. This is no case of therapist grade inflation either.
I booked my first appointment with Ivan about a year ago when I was looking for a therapist to replace my very talented former masseur who had relocated to another city. In short, my standards were very high and I was doubtful that anyone could exceed the quality service that my former masseur had provided. Boy, did Ivan prove me wrong.
Everything about his massage therapy is top notch: His warm smile, easy good looks, and firm handshake put me at ease from the first hello. His massage space is beautifully appointed and fairly glows with soothing ambience and well-chosen, entrancing music. He uses a custom-made non-greasy massage oil that feels wonderful on the body and smells like a spring rain. He knows how to calibrate the rapport he establishes with clients during the massage. He offers just the right combination of friendly banter when a client is inclined to chat and calming silence when the rhythm of the massage turns intensely fugue-like and words would get in the way.
But it's the massage that is the main attraction here. Ivan's massage technique is incredibly thorough, detailed, attentive to major and minor muscles of the body, and has what feels to me at least like an almost syncopated, rhythmic quality that leaves me fully relaxed and yet invigorated at the same time. I feel as if I could float all the way home every time my session with him ends.
I'm an avid runner and a bit of a gym rat. Consequently, I'm often carrying some niggling soreness or stress in my muscles and joints. Ivan is so well-trained and intuitive that he always can find those areas in my body and banish the tension and inflammation with his strong, pampering therapeutic touch.
